MEET BRYAN JOHNSON

Owner & Inspector | Penguin Inspections, LLC

I’ve spent over 20 years in the construction materials industry as the owner of Wall Structure Coatings, Inc. (WSC), one of Mississippi’s leading distributors of exterior cladding systems. Over those two decades, I’ve worked hands-on with EIFS, stucco, manufactured stone, fiber cement, ACM panels, air and moisture barriers, and insulated concrete forms—distributing them, providing technical support, training installers, and troubleshooting failures across the state.

That background gives me something most home inspectors don’t have: a deep understanding of how buildings are actually put together. I don’t just look at the outside of your house—I understand the systems behind the walls, how they should perform, and what happens when they don’t.

I founded Penguin Inspections to bring that expertise to homebuyers, sellers, and realtors in the Jackson Metro area and beyond. Whether it’s a standard home inspection, an EIFS or stucco diagnostic, a mold concern, or a tricky exterior system, I approach every inspection with the same philosophy: cold precision and warm service.

I’m an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector, certified in infrared thermography, mold inspection, pool and spa evaluation, and drone roof scanning. I’m also Dryvit University trained, Sto certified across multiple product lines, and Nudura ICF installation trained. I hold Mississippi Home Inspector License #1033.

When I’m not inspecting homes or running WSC, I’m a dad to two college daughters—which is a big part of why I started this company. I believe in doing good work, being honest about what I find, and helping people make confident decisions about one of the biggest investments of their lives.
